Day 1 (Sunday): Arrival in Innsbruck.
Arrive in Innsbruck, the capital of the Tyrol region, with its famous golden roof (Golden Dachl).
Day 2 (Monday): Innsbruck to Strass, 30 miles (50 km).
You will have magnificent views of the Northern Alps as you cycle to Wattens with the historic Münzerturm (Mint Tower). You can visit the enchanting Swarovski crystal worlds here. Along the Inn cycle path, past Schwaz with a silver mine museum, to the “Radlerdorf Strass” (cyclist village Strass) at the entrance to the Ziller Valley .
Day 3 (Tuesday): Excursion into the Ziller Valley, 37 miles ( 60 km).
From Strass you can take an excursion into the Ziller Valley with its 3000m plus high mountain giants, to Mayrhofen. Visit to a glacier with the cable railway possible. Alternatively stay in Strass to go walking or swimming.
Day 4 (Wednesday): Strass to Bad Tölz, 34 miles (55 km).
A short ride to Jenbach then a ride on the oldest steam rack railway in the world - connecting Jenbach with the Achensee lake. Follow the cycle path directly on the lake shore to the impressive Sylvenstein Lake. The river Isar accompanies you through charming landscapes to Bad Tölz. The town on the junction of two trading routes, the Isar and the old salt route from Reichenhall to Allgäu, developed quickly into a thriving trading post. The richly ornamented middle class houses are evidence of the golden age.
Day 5 (Thursday): Excursion to Lake Tegernsee, 25 miles (40 km).
Through the charming landscape of Lake Tegern to Gmund am Tegernsee with a wonderful panorama of the lake. Along the Gaißbach Valley back again to Bad Tölz. The thermal springs of the famous spa “Alpamare” will revive your tired muscles.
Day 6 (Friday): Bad Tölz to Munich, 34 miles (55 km).
The Isar cycle path takes you through Geretsried and Wolfratshausen to Grünwald. You have a few short climbs before reaching the Bavarian capital Munich with its numerous places of interest.
Day 7 (Saturday): Departure from Munich.
